UK airlines to be banned from charging parents extra to sit next to children
Airlines operating in the UK will be banned from charging parents additional fees to sit next to their children under new government rules. The planned change will mandate that airlines seat children under the age of 14 alongside an accompanying adult free of charge.
Tackling unexpected travel charges
Under the same set of regulatory changes, airlines will also be blocked from charging fees to passengers who need to correct spelling errors in their names on flight reservations. The policy aims to eliminate small add-on charges that accumulate when booking travel.
