Welcome to People’s Insight, where we believe that staying informed shouldn’t mean wading through an ocean of clickbait, repetition and ad-spam.
In today’s fast-paced digital world, finding honest, straightforward news has become a challenge. Traditional media is often bogged down by intrusive advertisements, repetitive paragraphs, and sensationalised clickbait designed for views rather than value.
We built People’s Insight to change that. Our mission is simple: UK news that amplifies your views, raising awareness for civil and political injustice. We deliver pure, uncut information by fundamentally improving how online news is read.

How We Do It

By combining cutting-edge artificial intelligence with an unwavering commitment to objective journalism, we rethink the news feed from scratch:
    • Zero Fluff, Zero Clickbait: Our system automatically strips out the tedious filler, repetitive messaging, and sensational hooks that waste your time.
    • Almost Ad-Free Readability: We eliminate disruptive layout disruptions and cluttered ad networks, providing a clean, distraction-free typographic interface built for reader comfort. We don’t stuff our news articles full of ads but you may see one or two to help us keep the lights on.
    • Synthesised Perspectives: Rather than making you open a dozen tabs to get the full story, our AI scans multiple premium news outlets, cross-references the facts, and consolidates the core insights into a single, beautifully concise article.

Why It Matters

When tracking national economy shifts, political movements, or community injustices, you deserve the essential facts without the editorial spin or commercial clutter, without the repetition just so news organisations can spam you with ads. We don’t change the facts—we just remove the distractions surrounding them, saving you time while offering a deeper, comprehensive view of the stories impacting the UK today.
Get the news you actually want. Skip the rubbish you don’t. It’s that simple!

A Note From Me

I was so fed up of clicking on a clickbaity headline to then read the same paragraph several times over worded differently, being spammed with ads every other paragraph and drip fed biased information that either didn’t give you the full picture from both sides or deliberately put a journalistic spin on it to drive some ulterior narrative.

I realised that I was changing, depending on the news I read, I was being influenced one way or another. Journalists know how to rile us up just the right way and the media accept no responsibility for their reckless behaviour. The idea of “ethics” in journalism is toilet paper.

The journalism industry is self-regulated which is an inherent conflict of interest. Dominated by bodies like the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO), the system is funded by the very publishers it polices, and its rules are drafted by serving editors; this means the editors of newspapers are dictating the rules and policies their paper is governed by.

Because membership is entirely voluntary, major national newspapers have steadfastly refused to join independent, state-recognised watchdogs, allowing them to opt out of rigorous oversight. Consequently, enforcement remains toothless; regulators have never issued a single financial penalty, remedies are often reduced to obscurely placed corrections, and strict complaints criteria prevent the public from challenging systemic misinformation or bias unless they are personally targeted. Critics argue this framework acts as a weak complaints handler designed to protect corporate press interests rather than an independent authority capable of holding powerful media outlets accountable. Even when they get it wrong, you don’t hear about it. They’re only required to publish a tiny correction in an obscure area of their website.

I built a little AI tool that strips out the muck from the news around the web, it worked by copying a link to an article into the machine and it would do the rest and if this didn’t work, then I’d select all, copy and paste it in to achieve the same result. This was a bit tedious so I continued to improve it.

Next, I made it into an RSS aggregator which displayed the polished articles as though I was reading my favourite newspaper app and that’s when it hit me. This is exactly what the world needs! People’s Insight took a new turn. This website started as a critical review platform of local and national politics but that was very boring and I lost interest. I didn’t renew the website and it lapsed but I re-registered it again to bring this to the world. I don’t really want to maintain it so I’m relying on AI and one day, it might break and never return but for now, I hope you enjoy it. To keep it running, there will be some adverts, I’m trying to limit them to one or two per page rather than every other paragraph but in such a way that it doesn’t interrupt readability. This is entirely a non-profit project at the moment; this may change in the future but for now, I’m happy as it is.

This website relies on fair-use to bring you the latest news without the fluff I describe above but if you notice anything wrong with the website, have any copyright enquiries, notice anything wrong in the publications or have any feedback or ideas to improve it, please don’t hesitate to get in touch; I cannot guarantee a reply, I don’t even know if my email account is set up correctly.
