Two Men Charged with Terror Offences Targeting Manchester's Jewish Community
Counter-terrorism prosecutors have charged two Iranian men in connection with an alleged terrorist plot directed against the Jewish community in Manchester.
Rahman Salehi, aged 35, and Salam Ahmadyan, aged 36, have both been charged with preparing to commit an act of terrorism or assisting another person to commit an act of terrorism under UK anti-terrorism legislation.
The pair were originally arrested by police officers on 20 September. The operation occurred on the eve of Yom Kippur, which represents the holiest day in the Jewish religious calendar.
