Partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard Found Dead in Louisiana Following Cyberbullying
Discovery at Lafourche Parish Residence
Kenan "Ken" Urker, the 34-year-old partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and father of her daughter, was found dead inside his home in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, on his birthday. Local authorities reported that the death appears to have resulted from an apparent drug overdose.
According to sheriff's office reports, relatives requested a welfare check after failing to reach Urker. Family members looking through an exterior window spotted him lying unconscious on his bed. An individual accompanying the family entered through a window and found Urker unresponsive and cold to the touch.
Evidence and Active Investigation
Responding deputies located drug paraphernalia, including syringes and a spoon, alongside a brown powdery substance in an adjacent bathroom. Authorities also recovered a syringe and a handgun positioned on a nightstand next to the bed.
Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Captain Brennan Matherne confirmed that the death remains under investigation, adding that investigators have not identified any signs of foul play.
Social Media Harassment and Context
Following the incident, Blanchard publicly stated that Urker had been experiencing severe emotional distress caused by relentless cyberbullying and harassment across social media platforms including TikTok and Reddit. She emphasized that the heavy public scrutiny severely impacted his mental well-being leading up to his death.

Urker first established contact with Blanchard in 2018 while she was serving her prison sentence for her role in the murder of her abusive mother. After years of an on-and-off relationship, the couple reunited following Blanchard's release from custody in late December 2023.
