The match against Garcia is Benn's first official fight at the 147lb welterweight limit since knocking out Chris van Heerden in April 2022.
Garcia makes the maiden defense of the WBC belt he captured in February by outpointing Mario Barrios. Garcia previously rebounded from a WBA 'regular' welterweight title defeat against Rolando 'Rolly' Romero in New York before being named to face Benn, who was appointed mandatory challenger by the WBC in December.

On the same night, Conor Benn's half-brother Harley Benn featured on a separate Misfits Boxing event in the UK, taking on Joe Laws on a card headlined by Jordan McCann against Charlie 'Big Stacks' Robert. Source: The Mirror.
