Survivor Speaks Out After Family Uses Abuse Disclosure Scheme to Stop Marriage to Serial Rapist
A Scottish woman speaking under the pseudonym Amy revealed how intervention from her family and friends saved her from marrying Christopher Malcolm, a serial rapist who subjected her to systematic physical and psychological abuse. Controlling Behaviour and Escalating Physical Abuse
The relationship began after the pair met on a dating app in late August 2023. Although initially charming, Malcolm quickly established intense control over her life. He forced her to delete her social media accounts, restricted her phone calls with relatives, and repeatedly disrupted her workplace by demanding she leave early under threats of public scenes. Severe Injuries and Legal Intervention
Violence within the relationship escalated to routine attacks every fortnight. Malcolm subjected her to severe assaults, including strangulation, threats with a Stanley knife, and rape inside her residence. During one assault, he fractured her wrist and barred her from seeking medical treatment, causing permanent physical impairment that leaves her unable to hold a book in one hand.
